Established in 1790, we are extremely proud of our heritage at Chapman & Son Butchers, and are currently run by the sixth generation of the family, Chris Chapman.
We cure all our own gammons and bacon, and make a wide variety of pies using the same quality meat sold in our shop, and are also proud to sell locally-sourced and specially selected cuts of meat.

We buy much of our meat from local farms where possible, and source our beef from Inverurie, Scotland. The meat we sell is the very best quality and we also try to deliver a fun and unique shopping experience, where we get to know you by your first name and you will always be greeted with a smile.
Home-Cured Gammon & Home-Made Pies
One of our specialities is home-cured gammon. We cure all our gammons on site, using a traditional family recipe that is over 100 years old. We also make a large range of pies and pastry products, ready to bake.
Fresh, locally-sourced meat
We take great pride in where we source our meat from, and always try to source locally wherever possible. That’s why our lamb and pork come from Kent and our chickens come from Norfolk.

Prime Scottish beef
All of our beef comes from Inverurie in Scotland, and we serve mouth-watering fillet, ribeye and porterhouse steaks.

We cook hot rotisserie chickens fresh each day, along with trays of cajun chicken wings that are great both hot and cold.
